Business

  • Discussed Tree decorating and Advent party - mosaic craft, snowflakes
  • Discussed particulars about the Mass - petitions, offertory, servers
  • Discussed skit - pictures in doors, how to have the little girl realistically wake up and fall asleep or open the doors. Included suggestions were temporary amnesia, bouts of selfishness and/or greed, a really long night, forgetfulness, and a rooster. Also discussed were the possibility of the saints fighting, and the Grinch coming and stealing everything.
  • Discussed how the saints will appear. It is decided that they will come around the side of the cabinet. After all the saints have told their stories, all Missionaries will get on stage and sing.
  • Mrs. T asks the time. It is 1:30
  • Discussed Stations vs. Joan of Arc play. Came to the conclusion that both cannot be done in one year. Stations won.
  • Discussed how to set up Stations and where to preform. Possible locations included but were not limited to Schoenstatt (definitely), Holy Hill (doubtful), a church in Wauwatosa (undecided), St. John the Evangelists in Greendale (maybe), Cardinal Stritch (maybe).
  • Discussed possibility of using last year's DVD to help in rehearsal
  • Paul F is commissioned to make a list of all Missionary members listing name and grade level of each
  • Discussions ended
  • Started making decorations - snowflakes, strings of popcorn and cranberries, large star for the top of the tree, and pieces of paper for the mosaic craft
  • The Closing Prayer was The Prayer of St. Francis

Prayer of Mother Theresa

Dear Jesus, help me to spread Thy fragrance everywhere I go. Flood my soul with Thy spirit and love. Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly that all my life may only be a radiance of Thine. Shine through me and be so in me that every soul I come in contact with may feel Thy presence in my soul. Let them look up and see no longer me but only Jesus. Stay with me and then I shall begin to shine as you shine, so to shine as to be a light to others

Prayer of St. Francis
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace, Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;

where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;

to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;

it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
